Acts of Faith

TEXT: Mark 11:23 KJVS
[23] For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Faith is not passive but active. The acts of faith are deliberate and tangible. Faith is substantial because you can relate with action that expresses it. Faith is the evidence that your belief is beyond reasoning but backed up by physical activities. You can see faith in action when it’s at work, it is visible.

Mark 2:5 KJVS
[5] When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.

Your actions demonstrate your faith. It is not yet faith until physical actions demonstrate the belief in your heart. The actions you put up simply fight the contrary thoughts and negative conditions around the atmosphere of your faith.

Faith is the response of your human spirit to the word of God as opposed the response of your senses to the prevailing circumstances. From the main text, Jesus made reference to those acting in faith to be like ‘rooters of mountain’ in Jewish cultures that knew no impossibilities. These set of leaders solve difficult problems and that’s what Faith is suppose to do for us too. Hence, faith knows no impossibilities! The huge fight of faith is to align your mind to process information from your spirit and not your circumstances!

Mark 9:22-24 TLB
[22] and the demon often makes him fall into the fire or into water to kill him. Oh, have mercy on us and do something if you can.”
[23] “If I can?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if you have faith.”
[24] The father instantly replied, “I do have faith; oh, help me to have more!”

The story here actually describes most of us. It’s not that you don’t have faith but you need more to handle situations. Faith is in measures! Jesus simply said the issue was not with him because He could heal the child only if the man had faith.

What is the physical action representing your faith? It is a spiritual principle. Often times, the enchanters will make an image or effigy to represent the one to be cursed. This is a biblical thing, practiced in the old and new. Sacrifice of animals is an act of physical symbol of spiritual actions. The atonement was made by faith for the Levites as one bullock represented them.

Numbers 8:12 KJVS
[12] And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks: and thou shalt offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, unto the Lord, to make an atonement for the Levites.

Many Christians are still fighting sowing seed faith for their desires because they have not understood the acts of faith. God repeated this by bringing many sons unto Himself through the death of Jesus on the cross.

Hebrews 2:10 KJVS
[10] For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

Your steps of faith begins with your confession but should not stop there. Faith is like a title deed of a landed property. Once you see it (title deed), you are sure there is land somewhere. Begin to show God the acts of your faith that you believe His promises – talk the word and work the talk! Let every major steps you would take be preceded by demonstration of your faith.

Your faith shall deliver positive outcome in Jesus name. Amen.
